Family Ambassador Program
AFEL's Family Ambassador Program is managed by People's Emergency Center (PEC) that oversees AFEL's Outreach and Awareness Campaign. PEC recruits parents, grandparents, and caregivers from the Promise Neighborhood to mentor other parents about the importance of early childhood education. Ambassadors are compensated for their participation.
Family Ambassador qualifications include:
*Recruit local parents/guardians for activities
*Particpate in trainings, focus groups, and events
*Staff AFEL info tables at events
*Share info about the importance of early childhood education with other parents
*Assist with program implementation and planning
*Assisting with outreach to get parents to register children early for Kindergarten.
*Helping parents understand how to make sure your child is developing and learning to be ready for Kindergarten
