Promise Corps presented "Think Tank" on April 12th at Quorum! Students from West Philadelphia High School, Sayre, High School of the Future, and Overbrook presented on issues such as increased funding in public schools, emotional and social support, quality school lunches, and school resources. The students presented in front of a panel of executives who shared valuable feedback: Promise Neighborhood's Project Director, Rachel Viddy, Eva Gladstein and Dan Schupsky from the City of Philadelphia, and Wes Sommerville from Lenfest Foundation.

Supporting Promise Neighborhood High Schools by bringing college and career exposure curriculum, experiences, and counseling to students.

Project Lead the Way, a project-based pre-engineering program is planning to pilot at West Philadelphia High School 


Aramark Ignite, a partnership with Urban League of Philadelphia, to bring career exposure to the classroom


STEP (Support Team for Education Partnership) behavorial health professionals help to eliminate barriers to post secondary success and create a school climate that supports learning. This program is in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia and Community Behavorial Health (CBH)


Continuing STEM Education Academy led by Drexel University's ExCITe Center and Drexel's School of Education is designed to provide additional STEM training opportunities through the development of “maker” skills to assist high school graduation-age students of the Promise Neighborhood. 

Did You Know?...

During the 2018-19 school year, Promise Corps provided college and career counseling to 334 tenth-twelth graders and took 95 students to college tours outside the greater Philadelphia area.
