Philadelphia Youth Network Drexel hired 80 WorkReady students for their summer work experience partially funded by the West Philly Promise Neighborhood. The Promise Neighborhood hired Mantua resident and high school freshman for the 2019 summer.

Fab Youth Philly hired: 


Summer Play Captains: training teens ages 15-19 in playful learning, facilitation, leadership and other work place skills in order for them to play and lead games with children on Play Streets


Safety Captains: an afterschool job for teens that uses a project based learning approach to answer questions like: What makes a youth friendly neighborhood? What makes a neighborhood safe?


School Year Play Captains: an afterschool job for teens using playful learning, facilitation, and leadership in order to support afterschool programming for school aged youth in Action for Early Learning Alliance childcare centers
